About Me
I graduated with the Bachelor of Science (honors) in Information Technology with a passion for web development, networking and building technology solutions. I therefore do get along well with creating projects that solve real-world problems and learning new skills. My curiosity about technology began at an early age. My interest in computers and poroblem-solving eventually led me to pursue a degree in Information Technology.
Early Life and Siblings
I was born in South Sudan in a village called Dööc Anei Aken of Toch North Payam - Gogrial East County, Warrap State. I began my academic grassroot level in Mayom Chol Primary School in my village in 2008 before later moving to Juba for Upper Primary and eventually finishing my primary studies in neighbouring country Uganda. I was born to my parents, Anei Aken Agany (father) and Akuch Madut Akuei (mother). I also have six other siblings of which one passed, Jongkor the first born passed in 2011. Aken, Agany, Achier, Achol and Adut in that order are the other siblings that follow our deceased sister. I happen to be the last born. I descend from the Dinka tribe as South Sudan has over 63 other tribes.
Education
As I mentioned earlier, my education journey began in Mayom Chol Primary School in Mayom Chol Boma. It didn't end there and as I climbed the ladder, I ended up attending the following schools from Primary to the peak of my current academic level. The following therefore are the schools against the respective academic years.
Primary Schools
Just like any other South Sudanese born during the years that coincided with the war in the then Sudan, I was bound to begin my primary school abit older, above ten years of age.
- Primary One - Primary Three -> Mayom Chol Primary School, (2008 - 2010)
- Primary Five -> Libya Basic Primary School - Juba (2011)
- Primary Six - Primary Seven -> African Inland Church (AIC) Primary School, Juba (2012-13).
- Primary Seven -> Queen of Peace Primary School, Kampala-Uganda (2014).
Highschool
Having began my academic journey a little bit older, it was a race against time kind of capitalization. With holiday programs and some skipped classes across both primary and Highschool, my Highschool cost me less time than expected and with a year less than the normal four, my Highschool took me three years
- Senior One -> Goodwill College Secondary School - Kisigula, Kampala - Uganda
- Senior Two -> Uplands Secondary School - Mutundwe, Kampala-Uganda
- Senior Three -> Excel International Secondary School - Maryland Campus, Yei - South Sudan.
- Senior Four -> Juba Academy Secondary School, Juba.
Certificate in Java Programming
During my academic journey, I have continued to expand my skills through additional training and practical learning. In 2025 during my academic break, I attended a six-month Java Programming Course at Greenbridge School of Open Technologies in Kampala - Uganda, where I strengthened my programming concepts, object-oriented programming and software development fundamentals. This experience improved my confidence in developing technology solutions and further motivated my interests in software development and Information Technology.
University
My university was more accurate though I got into 2026 by the tenth semester that belonged to to 2025, supposedly. I pursued a career in Computer Science and Information Technology specializing in Information Technology
- First Year - Fifth Year -> University of Juba.
Career Journey
My journey into Information Technology began with a curiosity about how computers solve day to day problems. During my studies at the university, I developed knowledge in web development, database systems, networking and information systems. Iam currently advancing my practical skills by developing personal projects, expanding my programming knowledge as well as creating solutions that strengthen my experience as an Information Technologist and web developer. Using my database systems and, I have been hired by the South Sudan Revenue Authority to help in tax management where I am day by day gaining practical experience while developing my techniical and professional skills. alongside my job, I am currently building personal web development projects and expanding my knowledge in dealing with the modern technologies.
Career goals
My goal is to grow into highly skilled Information Technologist by continuing to expand my knowledge and gaining practical experience in web development, software development networking and information systems. I therefore aspire to build innovative technology solutions and solve real-world problems while putting in my effort in the growth of organizations and communities through technology. In the future, I aim at establishing myself as a professional web developer and an IT consultant working on impactful projects and also continue to learn emerging technologies to remain at the forefront of the digital world.
Interests
Web development, information technologies, computer networking as well as learning emerging technologies are undoubtedly my areas of interests. On the contrary, I enjoy working, following sports especially football.
